Yes, Kisi enables you to migrate your access control at your own pace. You can install the complete all-in-one solution or choose to keep your old readers, controllers, wiring, and credentials and gradually migrate your old system to Kisi. You can start by adding the Kisi Controller Pro 2 to enjoy Kisi's cloud-based system and benefits. With this option, you can still manage all your locations from a single pane of glass, enhance your security, and minimize maintenance costs.
Besides the mobile app, tap to unlock, MotionSense, badges in Apple Wallet and QR codes, Kisi offers different ways to unlock doors with physical credentials.

To ensure your security, cards that are not NFC standards compliant are not supported by Kisi Readers. Kisi supports many legacy key cards, so you can keep your old credentials when migrating to Kisi. Contact our team for specific info.
Access links or QR codes allow you to create temporary trial access for potential members to unlock doors in your place without signing up for a Kisi account or downloading the mobile app. You can simply send the link or QR code via email to the person who needs temporary access. They can unlock the doors they have been granted access to by clicking the link or scanning the QR code at the Terminal Pro. For better security, set validity dates to specify the period for which the temporary credentials will be active.
Yes, Kisi ensures uninterrupted access with fully encrypted and authenticated offline support for physical and mobile credentials, guaranteeing access even without an internet connection. Kisi readers can cache access rights offline for up to 36 hours and can also process authenticated unlock requests from the user’s phone as a failsafe. If you have a third-party reader, you can rely on Kisi controllers that cache access rights for offline use based on recent activity, enabling offline access with physical credentials before contacting the legacy controller for unlock requests.
