Kisi NDAA - National Defense Authorization Act Compliance Statement
Kisi is one of the few access control manufacturers who manufacture completely in the USA. Only a minor part of our components come from countries not in the US and we take great care of selecting them with the highest security and quality standards. The ability to have programming, QA, and firmware uploading entirely on US soil is a tremendous supply chain safety benefit which is a major reason why companies choose to work with us.
About the NDAA
The John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019 was signed into law on August 13, 2018 in direct response to growing cybersecurity threats to the US. As part of the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2019, Section 889 is a federal law that prohibits the procurement and usage of telecommunications and video equipment and services by Huawei Technologies Company, ZTE Corporation, Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, or Dahua Technology Company (or any subsidiary or affiliate of such entities).
