Title: Customer Enablement Manager

Location: Washington, USA

Describe your role at Kisi

As Kisi’s Customer Enablement Manager, I get the opportunity to wear many hats. Internally, I help define and implement processes that make the efforts of our channel and sales teams more efficient and scalable. Externally, I work on projects and events that educate our partner network.

What is it like working with an international remote team?

It’s the best! I get the unique opportunity to work with a world-class team unrestricted by geographical location. I am frequently collaborating with colleagues across the United States, Sweden, Denmark, and the United Kingdom on events and initiatives.

How would you describe Kisi’s culture?

Kisi has some of the friendliest and most genuine people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. My colleagues are collaborative, inclusive, and nimble.

What advice would you go back and give to yourself when you were first getting started in your career?

Once you’ve worked for a handful of companies, you’ll discover that not all companies are created equal. Learn the signs of toxic office culture and respect yourself enough to say goodbye to teams and companies that don’t respect you. Also, figure out what you are passionate about and what powers your engine. You might find your dream role was there all along waiting for you to connect the dots.

What part of your job do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy hearing my colleagues talk about pain points they encounter in their roles. That statement alone sounds super sinister, but my most fulfilling projects have been the ones that have had the biggest impact on addressing an inefficiency or under-defined process.

What is one of your favorite memories while working at Kisi?

Getting to physically meet many of my colleagues during a recent sales team event at our New York office. Having collaborated and conversed with most of these people for the better part of 2021, meeting for the first time felt like reconnecting with old friends.

What would you like to tell future team members about your team?

Be curious, ask questions, communicate feedback (both positive and negative), and never let past failures prevent you from trying again.

What is something most people don’t know about you?

I’m no Joey Chestnut, but I have won several bets and competitions involving food.

What is your current favorite TV show/podcast/book?

Pretty much anything that is educational, entertaining, or true crime. Some of my favorite presenters include Jeremy Wade of River Monsters, and Mysteries of the Deep, Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej of Buzzfeed: Unsolved, or Nic and the Captain of True Crime Garage.

What can you usually be found doing on the weekend?

Exploring PNW backroads, beaches, and trails with my husband and dogs.
